The Lichi (it is spelt in many ways..the name originates in the Chinese language) is one of my favourites.

Yesterday, KM got the first fruit of the season (which is all too short.)
YUMMMM. |

Mmmm, wonderful. They taste the way roses smell.
And the way the juice just covers one's tongue and that smooth feel to the seed....alas, lichi is a fairly expensive fruit.
And..your collection of AU (Apt Userpics) is amazing!
They *are* expensive, but it makes them a special, valued treat :-)
dont you miss buying litchis in kolkata... there are available by the roadside and is so so cheap. its insane to even think of buying it in bengalooru.
You want to know the irony of its being so cheap in Cal? KM goes there, finds the huge price differential, and buys up vast quantities, and though I try to give it to friends quickly, enough goes waste (the shelf life is SO short) that the cost of the fruit we actually consume becomes quite equal to buying it here!
This time he bought a small quanitity in 9th Block and there are now four fruits left. Ah, much better.
