All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...

Well..."bags" gives a different feeling from the two concrete structures that I seem to have stufffffffed things into. Gifts for people always seem to take up about 75% of our luggage space!

Today is a friend's birthday, AND the day, a year ago, he lost his brother...and things were so very chaotic with the packing that we couldn't have him home...I feel really guilty about it....but in the teary, torn-apart mood that I was in, I don't think I would have helped him at all.

Amazing, that phrase, "heavy heart" is really was difficult to even climb the stairs with that heart weighing so much...I found myself breathing deeply to ease the heaviness.

If I feel like this when I am leaving a child who is happy in her home,family and do parents feel when they lose a child?
