My new name is...

...P2B.

(P stands for pAti....mother of a mother or father..a mother in this case...)

Having been quite worried about the results of some tests for more than 6 weeks, I still cannot bring myself to use the actual words...how incredibly irrational and stupid! ;-)

For the first time in my life, I rue the great physical distance between myself and my child...Well, not really RUE, but I do wish teleportation had already been invented...."beam me up, Scotty!" would be SO much easier than "WHAT? do I have to transit through that ORRIBLE Charles De Gaulle hairyport AGAIN?" to my travel agent...

My bebby...I keep wanting to be at your side, and I completely forget that I was alone, too, when I was expecting you, and I managed fine!

Hoppy Birdie...

I don't really remember in time to wish people on my LJ or theirs...but Prem's LJ informs me that it is cyberscorpion's budday today.

Happy birthday, CS, and wish you all the best! I have enjoyed so many of your pictures, and miss you a lot on LJ nowadays...I guess you are very busy. Hope Texas is treating you well!

Will think of you as I listen to the CD you so generously gave me, and will listen to some Tamizh poetry, too, and think of you...!

Friends on LJ....

I do *lurrrrv* reading the comments on my LJ as much as I like reading my friends' posts.

I make a post, obviously, with just one thought, or point of view...but my friends' comments show me so many facets of thinking and opinions. I am taken out of my own narrow view and can see how the same thing, opinion, or fact appears from another perspective. The best way to improve as a human being is to at least try and understand points of views other than one's own.

And many times, friends are SUCH a source of support and comfort. They say simple, sensible things...the e-shoulders they offer sometimes are every bit as consoling as physically real ones.

Let me not forget to mention the innumerable times that my friends' comments brings a quick smile, a laugh, and sometimes rolling mirth to me....

LJ has been one of the very nice things that has happened to me.

But that doesn't mean that I am going in for a paid account! ;-D Letting ads on my page is about as far as I will go!

I wish....

...I wish Google Earth was an actual method of travel. Imagine soaring up from Bangalore, casually floating past Africa, and zooming in to land at St Louis right in the front yard....in a matter of less than a minute...

One day, I hope it is possible! OOOH, howwonderfulthatwouldbe....
